We have gained through shear hard work, determination, dedication and attention to detail a great reputation within Yeovil and surrounding areas for serving excellent quality, traditional, home-cooked local food. Our meat supplies are currently, and have been for over nine years, from a small independent High Street butcher just down the road in Wincanton. We do not use any meat in our kitchen that has been imported from abroad; it is all local / British. Chickens must be free range as are our eggs. Our eggs come from a farming couple just over the hill in Bishops Caundle. Our cheese comes from the same village. Our fruit and vegetables are also sourced from Somerset suppliers. We always try and use Local and Independant suppliers, for we feel these give us the best in quality, service and reliability...... Just like ourselves!

You'll also be pleased to read that we have now been awarded our fourth successive 5 Star Hygiene Award (July 2016), giving you just little more peace of mind.

Our doors now open at 9am for early meetings, a morning coffee or perhaps one of our freshly prepared Somerset Breakfasts (served until 11.30am), we then serve our daily menus from 12pm until 9pm Monday to Saturday and our Sunday Menu from 12pm until 8pm on a Sunday. Our Bar Snack Menu is available from 12pm until 5pm Monday to Saturday as is our Two Course Special menu just £10.95 which includes a Fair Trade Colombian Filter Coffee or Twinings Tea. Exceptional value!

 

We advise calling to book a table although this is not always necessary. 

***IMPORTANT*** We no longer allow 'confetti' to be used to decorate table. Unfortunately this stains our tables when wet. Sorry

Balloons are still permitted. If you want to put up banners, these must be stuck to our windows and not to the walls or paint work due to paint being pulled off the walls. If you ignore this, a charge may be made for redecoration!

 


 

Sunday and Midweek Carvery

 

We are now in Yeovil known as the Home of Carvery, serving a freshly cooked Carvery every Sunday from 12 until at least 5pm, normally until 6 or 7pm, and we have now added a Mid Week Carvery every Wednesday and Friday from 5 until 9pm. Our chefs will hand carve you a choice of three local meats: Beef; Turkey and either Pork or Gammon Joint, all locally supplied, you can choose slices of only one or a selection of all meats. Then you may help yourself to our delicious New and Roast Potatoes, six fresh vegetables, our now infamous homemade puffy Yorkshire Puddings and chef's tasty gravy and stuffing. 


A reduced menu is still available for those who don't fancy the carvery with a choose of starters, main courses and desserts A full children's menu is also available. 

All food is prepared in our kitchens by our chefs and food is sourced from local suppliers wherever possible.
